Chef Tom Stiles

Baking and Pastry Instructor

Chef Tom Stiles joined Baker College’s Culinary Institute of Michigan in Spring 2011. As a baking lab instructor, Chef Stiles shares more than 15 years experience in the industry with his students. His experiences range from culinary arts instructor, baking and pastry, fine dining restaurants, banquets and catering, country clubs, and demonstration chef. Tom’s professional experiences include:

Chef Stiles earned his Associate Degree in Culinary Arts, Culinary Management, and Baking and Pastry Certificate from Grand Rapids Community College. After working in the field a few more years, Tom decided to return to school and obtained his Bachelor in Education from Ferris State University. He is an active member of the American Culinary Federation (ACF), West Michigan Lakeshore Chapter MI 122. Other professional certifications include:
