Bart joined Baker College in July 2009 as Purchasing Manager for The Culinary Institute of Michigan. He came to the position with over 27 years of experience in a wide variety of procurement areas. His professional experience includes:

  • Supply Officer, U.S. Coast Guard, Sector Lake Michigan, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
  • Supply Officer, U.S. Coast Guard, Group Grand Haven, Grand Haven, Michigan
  • Support Officer, U.S. Coast Guard, Cutter Bear, Portsmouth, Virginia
  • Coast Guard Liaison/Aviation Detachment Supervisor, U.S. Coast Guard, Guantanamo

  • Holder of Federal Contracting Warrant and Contracting Officer for over 17 years
  • Customer Service/Contracting Specialist, Eaton Aerospace, Grand Rapids, Michigan

Bart retired from the U.S. Coast Guard as a Chief Warrant Officer 3, Finance and Supply. Throughout his service to the Coast Guard, Bart has been awarded five Coast Guard Achievement Medals, a Commandant’s Letter of Commendation, and a Humanitarian Service Medal, as well as numerous individual and group commendations. Bart also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Management from the University of Phoenix.
